Pee Wee’s Big Adventure

Pee Wee Herman the man, the myth, the legend. You know what? It happens, everyone masturbates. Don’t act like you’ve never done it because I’ll call you a liar. You know what else? Before he decided he needed to rub one out at his local porno theater and even before he had his own early saturday morning children’s show he had a movie called Pee Wee’s Big Adventure. This movie staring Paul Reuben as Pee Wee has to be one of my all time favorite movies. Released August 9, 1985 (an awesome year for gifts to the earth cough Josh and I cough) and directed by Tim Burton when he was still into making good movies. The movie was written by Paul and Phil Hartman you may remember him from such comedy’s as The Simpsons as Troy McClure, Coneheads, and Saturday Night Live. He was also in Pee Wee Big Adventure at the end as a reporter.

Anyways the movie is about a young/middle aged man/boy who is just getting up to run some everyday errands on his what I feel has to be the most badass bike the world as ever seen.

On his way out he is stopped by the neighborhood spoiled shit head, Francis Buxton, who wants to buy Pee Wee’s bike off of him for his birthday. Pee Wee says F that and rides away to the local magic shop and bike shop where Dottie works. Dottie has the hots for Pee Wee (FYI I still to this day have a huge crush on Dottie, just saying). While Pee Wee is in talking to Dottie someone steals his bike. Pee Wee sets out on a “Big Adventure” to find his bike after he confronts Francis about stealing it. He meets many fun, scary, and strange people on his way but they are all friends.

Needless to say Pee Wee finds out where his bike is and makes his way to pick it up but of course it wasn’t easy. But you know damn well he makes it happen and gets that bike and i don’t blame him because that bike is amazing I still want that bike. After people hear about Pee Wee’s “Big Adventure” a movie company wants to make a movie of it. So in the end it all works out for Pee Wee.

So I’m sure you already knew this but I give Pee Wee’s Big Adventure XXX. Its a perfect movie and if you haven’t seen it we can’t be friends until you do.

And now for the suprise I was talking about my very very good friend Josh Swisher is going to be telling you what he thinks of the movie. He will be doing this on most posts in a new section I would like to call “Josh’s Two Cents”. So with out further ado I give you:

Josh’s Two Cents

Pee Wees Big Adventure staring Paul Reuben and Elizabeth Daily,

This Movie has everything your favorite movie has to offer love, chases, fights, and more gag props than carrot top could shake a stick at. If you haven’t seen this movie already you’ve probably been living in a cave or your family is mormon, in brief summary pee wee has the best bike in town all the bells and whistles and its gets stolen (consuming i know) anyway he treks across the country in order to find it meeting crazy characters along the way  my personal favorite is Large Marge the ghostly truck driver, its a far stretch from the Pee Wee’s Playhouse we all grew up with but still gold all the way through i mean come on a tiger loud speaker! i’d probably shit my pants if i had that on my bike when i was a kid. Anyway i recommend this movie to anyone you can watch it with your grandma and little brother and it wont offend them. all in all i give pee wee the full edge rating XXX all the way baby. i hope my review didn’t offend anyone.

love always

So here it is after long wait., long wait being a week, my very first blog entry. Lets see if I’m any good at this.

FUNNY PEOPLE

Judd Apatow’s newest movie Funny People is the movie I chose for my first entry. This comedy staring Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, and Jonah Hill (just to name a few) is a lot different than other Apatow films. It’s a little bit dark, and a little more deep than others. The whole middle of the movie makes you feel like you are really there and very awkward. You just feel for Seth Rogen’s character Ira the whole time. This movie has plenty of funny parts but DO NOT watch this movie expecting a full on Anchorman comedy.

Funny People has tons and tons of suprise guests. One of my favorites has to be Eminem, his whole part i feel is the funniest part of the entire movie.

My second favorite person in the movie is Jonah Hill’s character Leo. He just has a lot of funny one liners.

I have to say that Jason Schwartzman’s character Mark was my least favorite he just rubbed me the wrong way. Don’t get me wrong I love Jason, Rushmore is one of my favorite movies, but his character in this movie makes me kind of mad. He was just a shitty friend I feel.

I’d like to take this time to introduce the I Enjoy Movies rating system. Seeing as how I am straight edge we are going to use three x’s. I do not want any fucking e-mails saying I’m trying to force my believes because I’m not in any way shape or form. Three x’s just seems like a good rating system and also this is my blog so I’ll do what I want. Jerks. So xxx= a must see movie, xx= was good but you’d be alright if you didn’t see it, and x= don’t waste your time.

So with that being said I give Funny People XX. It was a good movie I really enjoyed it but you’d be alright if you skipped it.

There you go thats my first blog, hope you liked it. Send questions and comments and requests to harrypottershxc@yahoo.com.
